abstract = {La enfermedad de Alzheimer (EA) es un trastorno degenerativo que se caracteriza por la pérdida progresiva e irreversible de las capacidades cognitivas, funcionales y conductuales. Hoy en día es el tipo de demencia más común y su prevalencia sigue creciendo como consecuencia del envejecimiento sucesivo de la población mundial. 
Dado que una detección oportuna de la EA es imprescindible para la optimización de la atención del paciente, el trabajo estudia cómo potenciar el papel de la enfermería de Atención Primaria en la detección temprana, aprovechando su contacto directo y continuo con la población de referencia en el desarrollo de sus labores de cuidado.
Con este trabajo se pretende conocer, mediante un cuestionario de elaboración propia, el nivel de información que presenta una muestra de la población de Cantabria sobre la enfermedad de Alzheimer y sus factores de riesgo; y su disposición a realizar un test de detección temprana.
El objetivo es aplicar un test de valoración cognitiva dirigido a la ciudadanía para implementar en el Plan de Salud Mental de Cantabria. Este test de detección precoz se realizará a la población por el personal de enfermería de Atención Primaria.
Igualmente, se desea identificar actividades que podrían ofrecerse a los pacientes desde la enfermería en Atención Primaria para educar e informar a la población sobre los factores de riesgo modificables para prevenir esta enfermedad.},
abstract = {Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a degenerative disorder characterized by the progressive and irreversible loss of cognitive, functional and behavioural abilities. Today it is the most common type of dementia and its prevalence continues to grow as a consequence of the successive aging of the world population. 
Given that timely detection of AD is essential to optimize patient care, the paper studies how to enhance the role of Primary Care nursing in early detection, taking advantage of its direct and continuous contact with the reference population in the development of their care work.
This work aims to find out, through a self-made questionnaire, the level of information presented by a sample of the population of Cantabria about Alzheimer's disease and its risk factors; and their willingness to perform an early detection test.
The objective is to apply a cognitive assessment test aimed at citizens to be implemented in the Mental Health Plan of Cantabria. This early detection test will be carried out on the population by the Primary Care nursing staff.
Likewise, it is desired to identify activities that could be offered to patients from nurses of Primary Care Centersto educate and inform the population about modifiable risk factors to prevent this disease.},
