abstract = {ABSTRACT: The Jews as Experts in Therapeutic Practices in the Late Ancient World: Enkoimesis and other Magical Rituals.– Israel first and Early Judaism afterwards did practice a sort of incubation that focused on divination. In the present paper we show how healing incubatio was performed by Jews near by or within the Synagogue, a practiced mentioned by John Chrysostom and that mirrors the importance that the dreams and their interpretation had in the Judaism of Late Antiquity.},
