abstract = {ABSTRACT. We study the incidence of flood risk in Spanish cities throughout the history. Throught this analysis we can prove the role performed by physical and human factors in the spatial distribution and chronological evolution of this risk. Furthermore, its recent trends are explained in relationship to the evolution of the cities as well as with the human transformation of rivers and fluvial catchments.},
