@conference{10902/2622, year = {1995}, month = {9}, url = {http://hdl.handle.net/10902/2622}, abstract = {The possibility of using a simple optical fiber beam for accelerations measurement is considered in this paper. lts mechanical behavior has been developed, with the result that, for low frequency vibrations, the amplitude deflection of the fiber end is proportional to the acceleration to be measured. It has also been studied the way the Iight couples between the fiber beam and a receiving fiber in function of that movement. The electronic part converts these light variations in an electrical signal which is proportional to the acceleration detected. The theoretical calculations have been verified in the laboratory. A first prototype of the sensor was built, and it showed to be in great agreement with the behavior theoretically anticipated.}, publisher = {URSI 1995, X Simposium Nacional de la Unión Científica Internacional de Radio, Valladolid, p. 443-446}, title = {Viabilidad de la utilización de tallos de fibra óptica para detección y medición de vibraciones}, author = {Cobo García, Adolfo and Morante Rábago, Miguel Ángel and Echevarría Cuenca, Juan and López Higuera, José Miguel}, }
