La pandemia mundial por coronavirus trajo consigo la búsqueda incansable 
desde el minuto cero de una vacuna eficaz para prevenir la enfermedad. En un 
período de tiempo récord las farmacéuticas internacionales desarrollaron las 
primeras vacunas, Comirnaty, Vaxzevria, Spikevax, Janssen; tras su 
aprobación y comercialización comenzó la campaña de vacunación a nivel 
mundial y de igual manera la aparición de reacciones alérgicas. A solo dos 
meses de iniciada la vacunación ya se reportaban 4 casos de anafilaxia en 
España y coincidentemente 3 de ellos eran pacientes con antecedentes de 
alergia; del mismo modo sucedió con otros tipos de reacciones cutáneas, por lo 
que se hizo evidente la necesidad de establecer un manejo adecuado para 
pacientes alérgicos. En Cantabria se creó un protocolo para la inmunización de 
este grupo riesgo, que da inicio en la Atención Primaria de Salud con el llenado 
de un cuestionario sobre antecedentes alérgicos que define la remisión o no, a 
la Atención Especializada en el Servicio de Alergología del Hospital 
Universitario Marqués de Valdecilla, a la cabeza de este protocolo, donde estos 
pacientes previa anamnesis y premedicación son vacunados, vigilados y 
tratados en caso de reacción alérgica, la cual es comprobada con prueba de 
Triptasa basal de ser necesario.},

The global coronavirus pandemic brought with it the tireless search from minute 
zero for an effective vaccine to prevent the disease. In a record period, 
international pharmaceutical companies developed the first vaccines, 
Comirnaty, Vaxzevria, Spikevax, Janssen; after its approval and 
commercialization, the worldwide vaccination campaign began and in the same 
way the appearance of allergic reactions. Just two months after starting 
vaccination, 4 cases of anaphylaxis were already reported in Spain and 
coincidentally 3 of them were patients with a history of allergy; the same thing 
happened with other types of reaction, so the need to establish an adequate 
management for allergic patients became evident. In Cantabria, a protocol was 
created for the immunization of this risk group, which begins in Primary Health 
Care with the completion of a questionnaire on allergic history that defines 
referral or not, to Specialized Care in the Allergology Service of the Valdecilla 
University Hospital, at the head of this protocol, where these patients, after 
anamnesis and premedication, are vaccinated, monitored and treated in case of 
allergic reaction, which is verified with a basal Tryptase test if it´s necessary.},
