We have developed a simple method of analysis to derive steady-state transfer characteristics between input and output optical wave vectors, or powers formed from a variety of linear optical components. The analysis method is based on a functional block diagram description of the optical circuits. We have developed a computer program for such a simulation purpose that include matrix functions for some basic optical elements such as retardation wave plates, rotators, polarisers, and single-mode fibers under various disturbances.}, publisher = {URSI 1996, XI Simposium Nacional de la Unión Científica Internacional de Radio, Madrid, v.
