abstract = {Abstract: This paper attempts a first approach to the analysis of the demand for freedom of conscience - in the broadest sense of freedom of thought, ideology, belief, religion and worship - in two recent citizen mobilizations in Spain, the demonstrations rejecting the terrorist attack of March 11, 2004 and the so-called 15-M movement, the 2011 Spanish protests by the "Indignados" (indignants).
