 Diariamente en la práctica clínica se utilizan una variedad de fármacos que pueden ser responsables de la aparición de disfunciones sexuales tanto en varones como en mujeres. En esta revisión se han tenido en cuenta los grupos farmacológicos que han sido más estudiados. Teniendo en cuenta que la disfunción sexual por fármacos ha sido más estudiada en varones que en mujeres, los dos grupos de fármacos que más comúnmente producen disfunción sexual son los antidepresivos y los antipsicóticos, aunque a lo largo de los años se han ido desarrollando distintas estrategias para su manejo. Los fármacos ansiolíticos, estabilizantes del humor y anticonceptivos hormonales, hoy en día, necesitan un mayor estudio para obtener resultados válidos. Los antihipertensivos son los fármacos cardiovasculares que más comúnmente producen disfunción sexual. Por último, los alfa-bloqueantes e inhibidores de la 5-alfa-reductasa presentan mejores perfiles y su manejo es más sencillo que en los otros grupos farmacológicos.},

A variety of drugs are used daily in clinical practice that may be responsible for 
the appearance of sexual dysfunctions in both men and women. In this review, 
the pharmacological groups that have been most studied are the ones that have 
been taken into account. Taking into account that drug-induced sexual 
dysfunction has been studied more in men than women, the two pharmacological 
groups that most commonly cause sexual dysfunction are antidepressant and 
antipsychotics, although it is true that over years different strategies for their 
management have been developed. Nowadays, anxiolytic, mood stabilizing 
drugs and hormonal contraceptives need further studies to obtain valid results. 
Antihypertensives are the cardiovascular drugs that most commonly cause 
sexual dysfunction. Last of all, alpha-blockers and inhibitors of 5 alpha-reductase 
have better profiles and their management is easier than in the other 
pharmacological groups.},
