abstract = {RESUMEN: En el presente trabajo fin de grado trataremos de realizar un análisis, en primer lugar, de la situación actual del sector educativo y, más concretamente, del Sistema Universitario Español. En segundo lugar, llevaremos a cabo un análisis económico- financiero de la Universidad pública del País Vasco y la Universidad privada de Deusto en los años 2018 y 2019. La metodología llevada a cabo para lograr estos objetivos consta de dos partes. En la primera parte, analizaremos la evolución a lo largo de los años del gasto en inversión educativa en España y lo situaremos dentro del contexto internacional. Posteriormente, estudiaremos como se compone el Sistema Universitario Español y conoceremos cuales son las universidades españolas mejor valoradas y como se sitúan estas en el ranking internacional. La segunda parte es más técnica, en estos apartados nos centraremos en llevar a cabo un análisis económico-financiero mediante el cálculo y comparación de diversos ratios a partir de las cuentas anuales de las universidades del País Vasco y de Deusto en los años 2018 y 2019. Así, después de realizar este análisis podemos concluir que el Sistema Universitario Español, pese a obtener buenos resultados no es tan competitivo a nivel internacional como puedan ser los de países del mismo contexto geográfico. En cuanto al análisis de las cuentas anuales, observamos cierta similitud entre ambas universidades, encontrando la principal diferencia en la estructura de sus pasivos, debido a sus diferentes fuentes de financiación.},
abstract = {ABSTRACT: In this final degree project, we shall try to analyse, first, the current situation of the education sector and more in particular, the Spanish University System. Secondly, we shall carry out an economic and financial analysis of the public University of the Basque Country and the private University of Deusto for years 2018 and 2019. The methodology used to achieve these objectives consists of two parts. In the first part, we will analyse the evolution over the years on educational investment in Spain and we will place it within the international context. After that, we shall study how the Spanish University System is made up and we will know which are the best valued Spanish universities and how they are placed in the international ranking. The second part is more technical, in these sections we will focus on carrying out an economic and financial analysis by calculating and comparing various ratios from the financial statements of the universities of the Basque Country and Deusto in the years 2018 and 2019. Finally, after carrying out this analysis, we can conclude that the Spanish University System, despite obtaining good results, is not as competitive at an international level as those of countries in the same geographical context may be. Regarding the analysis of the financial statements, we observe a certain similarity between both universities, finding the main difference in the structure of their liabilities, due to their different sources of financing.},
