abstract = {RESUMEN: El presente trabajo tiene como objeto principal el turismo LGBT, el cual está enfocado al colectivo LGBT (Lesbianas, Gays, Bisexuales y Transexuales). La finalidad principal que ocupa, por tanto, es informar de lo que en realidad implica este tipo de turismo, con la intención de desmentir ciertos datos falsos que se dan alrededor del concepto “turismo homosexual” o “turismo LGBT”. A través de entrevistas con asociaciones y personas del colectivo, y de la lectura de libros y artículos en Internet, es cierto que este tipo de turismo está más relacionado con la cultura, el patrimonio y la gastronomía que con la fiesta. Por otro lado, también es fundamental saber cuánto aporta el turismo LGBT a la economía mundial y a la sociedad, ya que un turista del colectivo gasta más que la media en sus viajes, y además sus estancias son más largas. Por estas razones principales –pero no las únicas- se llega a la conclusión de que el turismo LGBT sería una modalidad turística muy interesante y muy rentable si se gestiona correctamente.},
abstract = {ABSTRACT: The main objective of this dissertation is to examine the current state of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) tourism around the world and to create awareness and eliminate the common misconceptions that this type of tourism often faces. To this day, LGBT tourism is still frequently associated with clubbing and partying, when in fact culture and gastronomy are among some of the main reasons why the LGBT community may choose a holiday destination. Moreover, LGBT tourism greatly contributes to both global and local economies as these type of travellers usually spend more money and have longer stays than the average holidaymaker. For all these main reasons and many more, LGBT tourism must be regarded as an extremely interesting and cost-effective type of tourism, that can benefit both travellers and the local community so long as it is managed correctly.},
