abstract = {RESUMEN: La cabaña pasiega se trata de una tipología de alojamiento rural típico de los Valles Pasiegos, cuyos orígenes se remontan a principios de la Edad Media dónde sus dueños realizaban sus tareas domésticas y la ganadería era su principal actividad.
En el año 2014 se aprueba un Decreto sobre la regulación de este tipo de alojamiento, el “Decreto 39/2014 del 31 de julio por el que se regulan los alojamientos turísticos en Cabañas Pasiegas en el ámbito de la Comunidad Autónoma de Cantabria”; con la aprobación de este Decreto se reguló el uso de las cabañas pasiegas como uso turístico y esto afectó y afectará de manera positiva en los Valles Pasiegos: en primer lugar para permitir preservar el patrimonio cultural y etnográfico y en segundo lugar para facilitar la revitalización de la economía en el valle del Pas.},
