abstract = {RESUMEN: Este trabajo académico trata los hechos ocurridos en Camboya entre 1975 y 1979, desde el momento en el que los jemeres rojos toman el poder e instauran la Kampuchea Democrática, hasta la invasión vietnamita que acaba con el régimen. La muerte de casi un cuarto de la población del país en tan poco tiempo plantea cuestiones que este trabajo se propone examinar, desde el debate que se ha producido durante décadas sobre la naturaleza de dicho genocidio, hasta el análisis de sus causas y consecuencias. Unas consecuencias que, al día de hoy, continúan siendo evidentes en la sociedad camboyana.},
abstract = {ABSTRACT: This academic work deals with the events that occurred in Cambodia between 1975 and 1979, from the moment the Khmer Rouge took power and established the Democratic Kampuchea, until the Vietnamese invasion ended the regime. The death of almost a quarter of the country's population in such a short time raises questions that this work aims to examine, from the debate that has taken place over decades about the nature of said genocide, to the analysis of its causes and consequences. Consequences that, to this day, continue to be evident in Cambodian society.},
