abstract = {RESUMEN: El Sistema Fagocítico Mononuclear (SFM), antes conocido como sistema reticuloendotelial conforma un sistema que abarca múltiples grupos celulares distintos como son los monocitos, las células dendríticas y los macrófagos. Este sistema en condiciones normales forma parte de los mecanismos de defensa del organismo.
En este trabajo haremos una revisión sistemática de las enfermedades que se producen por las alteraciones del funcionamiento normal de este sistema, usando la Histiocitosis de Células de Langerhans como paradigma debido a su prevalencia, el rango de edades de aparición y la gran variedad de sintomatología, explorando los métodos diagnósticos y el manejo y tratamiento de esta.},
abstract = {ABSTRACT: The Mononuclear Phagocytic System (MPS), earlier known as reticulo-endothelial is a system conformed by a number of different cells, including monocytes, dendritic cells and macrophages. When in standard conditions it works as a part of the defense systems.
In this review we are going to do a sistematic revision of the MPS-related diseases caused by it’s malfunctions, using the Langerhan’s Cells Histiocytosis as a paradigm based on it’s prevalence, the wide rango of ages at which it appears and the huge variety of signs and symptoms, exploring the diagnostic methods and it’s management and treatment.},
