abstract = {RESUMEN: Mediante el análisis de los discursos del cónsul M. P. Catón y el tribuno L. Valerio en el debate sobre la derogación de la lex Oppia (195 a. C.), este trabajo trata de determinar la consistencia y el alcance de la distinción entre leges in aeternum latae y leges in aliquod tempus latae que el tribuno Valerio habría utilizado como principal argumento a favor de la derogación. La conclusión a la que se llega es que tal distinción carece de solidez teórica, por lo menos en el momento histórico en que aparentemente fue formulada, y que su alcance, meramente táctico, se limita a la concreta discusión sobre la lex Oppia.},
abstract = {ABSTRACT: Through the analysis of the speeches of the consul M. P. Cato and the tribune L. Valerius in the debate on the repeal of the lex Oppia (195 b.C.), this paper tries to determine the consistency and the scope of the distinction between leges in aeternum latae and leges in aliquod tempus latae that tribune Valerius would have used as the main argument in favor of repeal. The conclusion reached is that such a distinction lacks theoretical solidity, at least at the historical moment in which it was apparently formulated, and that its scope, merely tactical, is limited to the concrete discussion on the lex Oppia.},
