abstract = {Resumen: El renovado paisaje artístico que conformó la arquitectura tardogótica permitió la configuración de una nueva cultura visual donde los elementos ornamentales y decorativos adquirieron un gran protagonismo. Con un significado profano, enmascaran los elementos estructurales y pueblan los espacios descentralizados de la obra arquitectónica animando arquivoltas, enjutas, impostas y cresterías. Además su presencia es compartida con otras manifestaciones artísticas ejecutadas en Castilla a partir del segundo tercio del siglo XV: manuscritos iluminados, sillerías de coro, sepulcros y retablos. Gil Siloe (ca. 1485-1504) siguiendo el dictado de los promotores de sus obras ?el obispo Luis de Acuña o la reina Isabel?, va a servirse de los espacios marginales para ornamentar, glosar o reforzar sus potentes discursos; práctica que fue realizada igualmente por los iluminadores de manuscritos quienes también emplearon las orlas de sus libros con una misma finalidad.},
abstract = {Abstract: The renewed artistic landscape that defined the late Gothic architecture allowed the configuration of a new visual culture where the ornamental and decorative elements acquired a great prominence. With a profane meaning, they mask the structural elements and populate the decentralized spaces of the architectural work filling the archivolts, spandrels, imposts and crests. In addition, its presence is shared with other artistic manifestations executed in Castile from the second third of 15TH century: illuminated manuscripts, choir stalls, sepulchers and altarpieces. Gil Siloe (ca. 1485-1504) following the dictation of the promoters of his works ?the Bishop Luis de Acuña or the Queen Isabel? used the marginal spaces to ornament, gloss or reinforce their powerful speeches. This practice was also carried out by the illuminators of manuscripts who also used the margins of their books with the same purpose.},
