Glass density decreases with increase in BaO concentration from 10 to 20 mol%, due to replacement of heavier TeO2 by lighter BaO, however glass transition temperature (Tg) increases significantly from a value of 318°C to 327°C due to increase in average single bond enthalpy of the tellurite network. Raman studies found that glass short-range structure consists of TeO4 and TeO3 structural units and BaO modifies the network by producing the structural transformation: TeO4→ TeO3.}, publisher = {American Institute of Physics}, publisher = {AIP Conference Proceedings, 2017, 1832, 070015}, publisher = {61st DAE Solid State Physics Symposium, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, 2017}, title = {Short-range structure and thermal properties of barium tellurite glasses}, author = {Kaur, Amarjot and Khanna, Atul and González Martínez, Fernando}, }
