abstract = {RESUMEN: Con el paso de los últimos años, los estudios sobre la Prevención de Riesgos Laborales han adquirido más relevancia. Esto se debe a que cada vez prestamos más atención y tenemos más conciencia sobre la protección de la salud y seguridad, no sólo en el ámbito laboral, sino en cualquier aspecto de nuestra vida. Pero gran parte de esa
vida la dedicamos al trabajo, por lo que adquiere mucha importancia la necesidad de trabajar en un ambiente seguro.
No sólo es importante por el trabajador que sufre el accidente o la enfermedad, si no también por la empresa en la que trabaja, por sus compañeros y por el conjunto de la sociedad. La siniestralidad laboral representa no sólo un coste humano para el accidentado, sino también un coste económico para él mismo, la empresa y la sociedad.
Por lo tanto, estamos ante un problema que nos afecta a todos y que tenemos por tanto la responsabilidad de solucionar.
En el presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado se analiza la actual situación de la Prevención de Riesgos Laborales en España, en concreto en el caso de las PYMES.
Asimismo se hace una especial referencia al sector de la construcción y a las PYMES en Cantabria. Se analiza, asimismo, cómo se gestiona la PRL en las PYMES, los obstáculos encontrados en la aplicación de una buena política preventiva, los actuales datos de siniestralidad, y las soluciones que se han llevado a cabo y planteado para frenar la siniestralidad laboral.},

This is due to the fact that nowadays we pay more attention and we are becoming increasingly aware of the health and safety risks, not only in the profesional area but also outside of it. We dedicate a big part of our life to work, so it is particularly important the need for a safe in a safe work environment.
This is important not only for the worker who suffer the accident or the illness but also for the company the worker works in, all the employees and the whole society. The occupational accident rate not only represents human costs for the injured worker, but also economics costs for itself, the company and the society. Therefore, we are facing a
problem that afect us all and that we have the responsability to solve.
This Final Degree Project analyses the current situation of the Occupational Risks Prevention, in the specific case of SMEs1. Furthermore, special reference is made to the construction sector and to the SMEs in Cantabria. This work analyses the way
safety and health risks are managed at the SMEs, the obstacles encountered on the implementation of a good OSH2 policy, the current occupational accident rate and the solutions already adopted and the proposed ones in order to prevent accidents at work.},
