abstract = {El Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA) es un síndrome del desarrollo neurológico que aparece en las edades más precoces y que se caracteriza por la presencia de un conjunto de signos y síntomas clínicos que afectan a distintas áreas del desarrollo personal (interacción social, capacidad de comunicación, presencia de alteraciones conductuales, falta de empatía y de interés por participar en actividades, y alteración del desarrollo intelectual). Existen varias medidas terapéuticas, tanto farmacológicas como no farmacológicas, que pretenden atenuar la sintomatología, aunque ninguna de ellas es curativa de la enfermedad. Paralelamente, en la literatura científica está cobrando importancia un tipo de modalidad terapéutica basada en el uso de los animales para tratar diversas enfermedades, y que además aportan beneficios en todas las dimensiones de la persona. El presente trabajo consiste en una monografía que contempla la actualidad sobre este trastorno, la profesión enfermera, y la aplicación terapéutica de los animales como Intervención de Enfermería y sus resultados en el autismo. Las conclusiones de este trabajo abalan la información de la literatura científica de los últimos años, donde se apoya la implementación de esta terapia en un amplio abanico de enfermedades, entre ellas el autismo.},
abstract = {Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neuro-developmental syndrome that appears in the earliest ages and is characterized by the presence of different clinical signs and symptoms that affect several areas of personal development (social interaction, Communication, presence of behavioral alterations, lack of empathy and interest in participating in activities, and alteration of intellectual development). There are several therapeutic measures, both pharmacological and non-pharmacological, that try to attenuate the symptoms, although none of them can cure the disease.
At the same time, in the scientific texts, a type of therapeutic modality based on the use of animals to treat various diseases, is gaining importance, as well as providing benefits in all dimensions of the patient. The present work consists on a monograph that contemplates the latest trends on this disorder, the nursing profession, and the therapeutic application of animals as Nursing Intervention and its results in autism. The conclusions of this work back the information of the scientific texts all over the recent years, which supports the implementation of this therapy in a wide range of diseases, including autism.},
