abstract = {RESUMEN: Es necesario comenzar con la creencia de que existe otro modo de ofrecer las matemáticas, ya que la importancia que tienen en el aula de Educación Infantil así lo precisa. Se requiere conseguir un alumnado competente en matemáticas, no solo porque las matemáticas aportan en su estructura cognitiva, es decir, el conocimiento de sí mismo, de su entorno, sino también porque le ofrecen una serie de herramientas que le sirven para desarrollarse en su vida cotidiana. En Educación Infantil el conocimiento ha de ser global, integrado en su entorno. El maestro, pieza clave en este proceso, le ofrecerá actividades y recursos para facilitarle el aprendizaje, contando con la participación de la comunidad educativa.},
